Tour Blue Holdings, one of Sri Lanka’s most respected Destination Management Companies (DMCs), proudly announces a trio of landmark achievements: recognition under two major sustainability programs and the launch of a new regional office in Jaffna. These developments reflect the company’s unwavering commitment to responsible tourism and regional empowerment.
Recognised for Responsible Tourism – GOOD TRAVEL SEAL Awarded
On 21st July 2025, Tour Blue Holdings was officially awarded the GOOD TRAVEL SEAL, in recognition of its ongoing efforts to promote fair, ethical, and responsible tourism practices across Sri Lanka. The accolade places Tour Blue among the best DMCs in the country and forms part of a prestigious sustainability initiative jointly organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), UNDP, BIOFIN, and Sustainable Tourism Sri Lanka.
Mr. Darshana Cabraal, Joint Managing Director, Tour Blue Holdings said, “This honor highlights our belief that meaningful travel should create value not just for visitors, but also for the communities and environments they engage with, We are grateful to our partners and teams for making this possible”.
Advancing Sustainability Standards – Travelife Membership
In a further step towards global sustainability compliance, Tour Blue Holdings is now an Engaged Member of Travelife, the internationally recognised certification body for the travel industry. The company has commenced its journey toward full compliance with Travelife’s rigorous sustainability standards and expects to complete the certification process by August 2025, after which it aims to qualify as a Travelife Partner.
Becoming a Travelife Partner will allow Tour Blue to proudly display the Travelife Partner logo, reinforcing its credentials as a company dedicated to positive environmental and social impact within the global tourism framework.
Strategic Expansion – New Branch Launch in Jaffna
As part of its broader vision to deliver authentic, community-driven, and responsible travel experiences, Tour Blue Holdings is excited to announce the opening of its new regional office in Jaffna in August 2025, with the official opening being planned for 20th August 2025. This strategic expansion strengthens the company’s presence in the North and East of Sri Lanka, regions known for their deep cultural roots, resilient communities, and raw natural
beauty. Often overlooked by mainstream tourism, these areas hold immense potential for immersive and sustainable travel.
The Tour Blue Jaffna Branch will serve as a full-service hub offering:
● Accommodation coordination
● Reliable transport solutions
● Excursion planning and guided experiences
● Airline ticketing and travel arrangements
● Visa assistance and documentation support
Beyond travel facilitation, this initiative is deeply rooted in social impact. By promoting the region’s hidden heritage, traditions, and values, Tour Blue aims to uplift local communities and create sustainable income opportunities for residents—ensuring that tourism benefits are both equitable and enduring.
A Holistic Approach to Tourism
These milestones reaffirm Tour Blue Holdings’ belief that tourism, when thoughtfully designed and ethically executed, can be a powerful vehicle for both transformation and preservation.
Whether it’s achieving internationally recognised sustainability standards or expanding into culturally rich, lesser-explored destinations, the company continues to lead with purpose.
Komal Seth, Founder & Director, Linkin Reps said, “We are absolutely thrilled to represent Tour Blue Holdings in the Indian market.
