Scindia: India seeing democratisation of aviation, to reach 40 crore air travellers in 4 years

Speaking at the launch of the maiden flight of Akasa Air, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, said “Because of the foresightedness and visionary goal and zeal of the Prime Minister that we have seen first time in India, the democratisation of the civil aviation. In next 4 years we are expecting 40 crore travellers through Civil Aviation in India.”

India is leading the recovery of the aviation industry in the post-Covid era, says Jyotiraditya Scindia

A meeting of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Civil Aviation was held in New Delhi, Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, said that on 21st November, 2021 nearly 3.93 lakh domestic passengers took to the skies, which is nearly 98.7 per cent of the pre-Covid average. He said that the revival of the India aviation market appears to be robust and reversible. The Minister also said that India’s scheduled airlines have a fleet of 710 aircraft, which is projected to grow to over 1000 aircraft in the next five years.

Scindia flags off 6 new UDAN from Kanpur & new connections from Indore

Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation inaugurated the IndiGo flight between Kanpur – Bengaluru. Scindia said that this new route will not only enhance connectivity to/from Kanpur but will also promote trade, commerce and tourism between these cities. Flights between Kanpur and Mumbai & Hyderabad have also started. In addition, he recently inaugurated first direct flights on Indore-Prayagraj, Indore-Jodhpur, Indore-Surat routes, in a bid to boost regional connectivity.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, virtually flagged off 6 routes expanding the aerial connectivity of North-East India. The routes commencing operations from today are Kolkata – Guwahati, Guwahati – Aizawl, Aizawl – Shillong, Shillong – Aizawl, Aizawl – Guwahati, and Guwahati – Kolkata. “Mizoram is the gateway to North-East India. The city has an immense amount of importance for its tourism & economic sector. We are committed to giving wings to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of making it possible that every state’s uniqueness must be experienced by all citizens of the country”, said Scindia.

Jyotiraditya Scindia announces 4 new Indigo flights to operate in MP from 1st September

Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, has announced that four new Indigo Flights will start operating in Madhya Pradesh from September 1, 2021 with everyday frequency. In his tweets, he said, “Four new flights of Indigo are going to start from Madhya Pradesh from 1st September: Delhi-Gwalior-Delhi; Gwalior-Indore-Gwalior; Indore-Gwalior-Indore; Gwalior-Delhi-Gwalior. Under the guidance of our visionary Prime Minister the Ministry of Civil Aviation is committed to facilitate the movement of citizens across the country and give wings to their development.”
