Paul Wilson, Executive Vice President of Cross Hotels & Resorts, stated, “Indians comprise about 25-30% of the total guests for Cross Hotels & Resorts. We aim to lead in this market, understanding it better than anyone else. India’s growth shows no signs of slowing, and neither does ours.”

Nishad Wijetunga, President, SLAITO said, “Sri Lanka has lost M!CE tourists to competitors like Thailand and India on minimum room rates as higher standard rooms were available in other countries at lower prices. However, we managed to retain a majority of bookings made before the minimum room rates were imposed last year.”

Goa tourism department has reduced the number of clearances or permissions that trades are required to attach at the time of registration. For a new hotel, an entity can get registration done by submitting three documents such as ownership document, CST registration, if applicable, and an identity proof; while no document needs to be submitted for renewal.
