IATO rejigs regional and state chapter leadership, Sejoe Jose to lead Southern region

IATO Executive Committee has relooked and restructured its Regional and State Chapters to expand its wings and strengthen its membership basis. IATO Kerala Chapter Chairman, Sejoe Jose, Managing Director, Marvel Tours will be the new Chairman of the IATO Southern region. He will replace EM Najeeb, who has been the Chairman of the Southern Region and has immensely contributed to the growth of IATO in the Southern Region. James Kodianthara, Managing Director, Concord Exotic Voyages (I) will take reigns in Kerala from Jose. Jitendra Kejriwal, Chairman, Arika Tour & Travels will lead the Maharashtra Chapter in place of Vasuki Sundaram. Separate Chapters have been announced for Uttarakhand and Ladakh, where Nidhish Sharma,  Managing Director, Garhwal Adventure, Dehradun and Tsering Namgyal, Managing Director, Windhorse Expeditions India, Ladakh being appointed as Chairman for Uttarakhand and Ladakh respectively. STB’s CruiseWorld India concludes with an optimistic note

Close to 300 Indian travel agents tuned in to CruiseWorld India 2021 organised by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Northstar Travel.  Helmed by Genting Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean International, STB and leading cruise agents, the session instilled confidence in Singapore”s cruise recovery and the steps taken by the Singapore cruise industry in the safe resumption of cruising even as Singapore has not opened for international cruise travel. Singapore has pioneered the world’s first Cruise Safe certification programme with stringent hygiene and safety measures throughout the passenger journey. The results have been very encouraging.  More than 90 sailings had taken place and 120,000 Singapore residents had experienced seacation with cruise to nowhere itinerary.

Air Seychelles bullish on India as it resumes flights to Mumbai from 8th April

Air Seychelles is set to resume operations of its commercial flights between Mumbai and Seychelles twice a week, starting Thursday, April 8, 2021. Remco Althuis, CEO, Air Seychelles says that it is the right time to launch these flights since Seychelles has reopened its borders on March 25 to welcome visitors on its shores regardless of the vaccination status. “We are very optimistic about the Indian market for Seychelles, especially after seeing so many Indian visitors to the Maldives. Hence, we want to use this opportunity to get more Indians to see Seychelles and hopefully, in the future it’d lead to an increase in the visitor numbers to India once the pandemic is over,” he adds.
